DIScovery News isn't in the App Store yet — it's in a small private beta through Apple's TestFlight. Request an invite and, if a spot opens, we'll email your TestFlight link. Spots are limited, so an invite isn't guaranteed — but the full app is free to everyone at launch.

DIScovery News is a Disney Parks news app that gathers the best reporting, videos, and podcasts from across the fan community into one daily feed. Instead of checking a dozen sites and channels, you open one app — and every story still credits its outlet and links straight to it.

Yes. Every outlet, every video, and every podcast is free, supported by a small number of clearly separated ads. If you'd like more, DIScovery News+ adds three daily briefings, Smart Alerts, a native Reader, and offline reading — and removes every ad. $4.99/month after a 7-day free trial.

You never need to hand over personal information. One tap creates a private account that lives on your device — no email, no password — and everything works: your feed, votes, saves, and follows.

If you'd like your follows, mutes, and votes to sync across devices, sign in with Apple or Google instead. You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Account, and deletion is permanent.

Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and Disney's resorts around the world — plus company news beyond the parks. Stories are automatically sorted by park and by topic, so you can browse whatever you love most.

Home reads like a front page: breaking news on top, the current daily briefing, a "While you were away" catch-up when you've been gone a bit, the big stories of the moment, and then the top-stories stream. A Most Viral row ranks what the whole community is opening right now — counted anonymously, with no identity attached.

When you're signed in, your follows and votes shape the ordering. Prefer something simpler? Settings → Appearance offers a classic single-feed Home.

For You is your personalized stream — ranked by your follows, your votes, and what you actually read. Latest is the firehose: every story, newest first. Saved is your own library, kept for offline. Tap a topic to filter any of them.

When a big announcement drops, every outlet covers it. DIScovery News groups that coverage into one story, so your feed doesn't fill with duplicates. Tap "Also covered by N outlets" to expand every take — earliest first, with a "Broke this story" credit for the outlet that got there first.

• Vote stories up or down to teach your For You feed what lands.
• Mute an outlet to tuck it away, or hide a single story with a swipe.
• Swipe right to save for later; long-press any card for save, share, hide, and queue actions.

On the publisher's own site, in a browser that stays inside the app — the outlets that do the reporting get the visit. With News+, stories can also open in Reader: a native, beautifully typeset dark reading view with size, spacing, and font controls.

Yes — the app is built for spotty park Wi-Fi. Every feed keeps the last stories it loaded, saved stories live in your library, and downloaded episodes play without any signal at all. With News+, saved stories keep their full text too.

Subscribe to shows, queue episodes with Up Next, download for offline, and pick up where you left off. Sleep timer, playback speed, AirPlay, and lock-screen controls are all built in — plus a mini player that follows you everywhere in the app.

Every channel in one place, with a featured pick up top. Videos play right in the app, the next one is ready the moment one ends, and views still count for the creators — exactly as if you'd watched on their channel.

Three: Trending, Most Viral, and one you can point at any outlet you follow. Tap a headline and the app opens right to that story.

When there's live coverage — an event, an opening, a panel — a live desk takes over the top of Home with a running timeline: timestamped updates, photos, and social posts as they happen. Tap Follow and each new update lands right on your Lock Screen.

Three editions a day, each with its own masthead and its own slice of the news: the Rope Drop Report in the morning covers what happened overnight, Parade of News at midday catches you up on the morning, and the Fireworks Finale wraps the whole day each evening. Every edition has a headline, a short intro written for that moment of the day, story blurbs with a "why it matters", and one to watch.

Everyone sees each edition's masthead and headline; the full briefings are part of News+.

No — the bar is deliberately high. Smart Alerts (part of News+) send at most a couple of notifications a day, only for news that clears it, with overnight quiet hours and your muted outlets respected. You're asked for notification permission exactly once, and declining is always fine.

As little as possible. You can use the whole app without giving any personal information. Your data is never sold and never shared for advertising, there's no tracking across other companies' apps or websites, and ads in the free tier are non-personalized. Story popularity is counted anonymously — no identity attached.

Settings → Account → Delete account. It removes your account and all of its server data, and it's permanent. Note that deleting the app doesn't cancel a News+ subscription — manage that in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

From the community's own outlets, YouTube channels, and podcast feeds — checked every few minutes, so news lands in your feed moments after it's published. Every story carries its outlet's name, logo, and timestamp, and opens on the publisher's own site. First-party outlets — a brand's own blog or channel — carry an Official badge so announcements are clearly attributed.
